Costa Blanca Spain...

We were asked by another member to name our top ten clubs in Germany so we thought the reply was worth sharing (and that I don't want to type it all again LOL)

Our top ten in Germany, in no particular order would be.

Ceasars Palace. Sprockhovel Nr Wuppertal. (Mixed) This would qualify as one of the best in Europe. By far the best restaurant of any we have visited and for the summer the outdoor pool area is superb. Lovely bar and lounge area and lots of playrooms. Friday's can be a bit thin but Saturday's very busy.

Villa Palazzo. Dorsten Nr Recklinghausen (Mixed) One of the newer clubs in the area and has had had a lot of money spent on it. Large club on 3 floors with a great selection of playrooms and a very up market feel. Tends to attract a younger crowd than some of the others

Steinenhaus (Stonehouse) Hattingen Nr Wuppertal. (Mixed) Probably our current favourite. Small bar area but with a good size lounge opposite, great restaurant, well equipped dungeon, sex cinema with playbeds, and the upstairs play area gets very hot.

Die Eule (The Owl) Rattingen Nr Dusseldorf airport. (Couples only) Not been for a while as these days we prefer a club with a few single guys but if you like couples only this is a really nice place. Large bar area with adjacent disco, separate nudist bar, very good restaurant, and great play zone upstairs. has a hotel attached to it so you can stay over.

Faro 8 Marl Nr Recklinghausen (Mixed) Recently extended so now has a really good play zone (in the old days it was a bit small) very large bar area with dance floor and (last time we went) even an English guy behind the bar. Saturday's are best.

Schickeria Dortmund. (Mixed) Not the biggest club but gets very busy at the weekends, nice play rooms, restaurant and outdoor area with pool for the summer. Tends to attract a younger crowd.

The above clubs are all in our area and within 30-40 mins drive from us, there are others in the area but these are the ones we think are the better ones.

Further afield these are all very good and would be in our top ten

Swinger club Why Not. Hamburg (Mixed) Not as big as some of the others but a great atmosphere. Nice but compact bar area, good restaurant, sex cinema, and a nice selection of playrooms downstairs. Very busy when we were there. It is in the suburbs but shouldn't be too expensive in a taxi from the centre.

Tempel Oase Teltow Nr Berlin (Couples only) Well appointed club, nice bar and restaurant, excellent indoor pool, outdoor area for the summer, and lots of play rooms. Being close to Berlin it does get a few more international visitors than some.

Fun and Joy Resort. Allenbach Nr Trier Mosel. (Couples only) A bit (no a lot) in the middle of nowhere, but if you fancy a weekend there it is a hotel as well. The city of Trier isn't far away and the Mosel wine region is close by. The club itself is excellent with lovely gardens, indoor pool, restaurant, bar area, sex cinema, and numerous themed play area's.

Swinger club 'Ollywood. Radebeul. Nr. Dresden. (Mixed) Spent a weekend there a couple of years ago. The club has a handful of hotel rooms (and some outdoor cabins for the summer) so we stayed on site. Two bar area's, nice restaurant, and lots of themed play area's. On our visit the Friday night was a bit thin but the Saturday was great. Nice base if you want to explore the city of Dresden in the daytime and have some fun at night.

We have been to all the clubs listed above (and lots more besides) but there is one other that we haven't visited yet that is getting very good reports from friends of ours so worth a mention.

Life - Club für Paare (Couples only) A bit remote at Gescher to the west of Munster and close to the Dutch border. Nearly 1000 sq mtrs of indoor space and a large outdoor area. Having not been yet ourselves we can't say too much but take a look at the website. This is a very interesting place that could potentially be the next rival for Fun4two.

For the other clubs a quick Google will find you the websites. Some have sections in English. If not your browser will usually do a good enough translation (we prefer Chrome)

Quick note about German clubs in general. As you will have probably noticed from the above, German clubs tend to be outside the city centre's so it is always better to either take a ferry/tunnel with the car or pick up a hire car if you fly. To get to the clubs using public transport or taxi's can be impossible or expensive (of the above Hamburg is pretty much the only exception) Pretty much all have a dress code so check on the websites beforehand. As most cater for the local market English isn't widely spoken so a few words of German are a big help. After saying that in all the clubs we have visited the staff are very helpful.
