Hi fellow fabbers,

Me and a group of friends are off to Florida in May.

Has anyone stayed at the Rosen Inn International on International Drive?

Just looking for some ideas about local places?

I've been there. It's really good. Lot's of restaurants nearby and there's a shuttle bus service to the theme parks too.

If you're on I-Drive you're in the central vain to all attractions, shuttle buses run to every theme park along it (which is pretty mich all of them) have fun, we loved it there, stayed at their Days Inn Lakeside.

I stayed at a Holiday Inn on International Drive a couple of years ago (its changed names now but its right near the top end opposite a Ponderosa). You virtually have everything Orlando has to offer right on the doorstep. Wet n Wild is just round the corner and it a good laugh on a hot day and a good evening can be had at the Pirates stage show. You also have all of the Mouse related about 10 minutes by cab/car.

on the road to nowhere in particular

Last time I stayed on international drive it was getting a little tired. It is very handy for the universal studios and sea world attractions and the factory outlets if you are into shopping. The worlds largest McDonald's is on I drive too.

Which Rosen Inn ? there are a few on I-drive. This end of I-drive is the " busier " end with lots of restaurants and shops etc all along either side. A lot depends on what you and your group are looking to do

Talking of dinner shows, there's a good one called the Outta Control Comedy Magic Show which is in a museum called Wonder Works. The museum is shaped like an upside-down building and I think it's opposite the Rosen Plaza.

I ended up on stage at the show. He made me wear a wig as part of a Sonny and Cher tribute!
