Can anyone think of a holiday destination satisfying the following:

1. Winter sun;

2. Proper town or city with a little culture and history, where locals live rather than just tourists;

3. Surfing;

4. Hotel with kids' club and childcare.

Tall order, perhaps. EWe may be forced to compromised.

South Africa. Cape town would be my first choice there.

Don't believe all the scare stories, if you take normal precautions it is safe, sunny & really cheap once you are there.

The food is also fantastic.

We've been many times & never had an issue.

Yes, Cape Town probably ticks many boxes. Thanks. Though the flight with two small children would be a nightmare - I think for the time being we're looking closer to home.

Any other ideas?

Menorca. End of season. Good sun. Great beaches. Family friendly. The two main towns are only a 20minute bus ride away.

Cheap and short flight.

See you have a vested interest… But thanks for the tip. Would love to go. Probably further than we're looking at, but if we make it, we'll let you know.

Are there swinging clubs? And how's the surfing?

So you have now asked about swinging clubs.. should that have been item 5 on your list ?

Then item 6 would be babysitting no doubt...

How silly. Yes, omitted swinging clubs . May well not be ready to swing this winter anyway, but then again…

So our ideal location would be a buzzing town, with a wonderful city and surfing beach, a hotel that provides a kids' club and childcare, and a swinging club not too far away.

Prague and New York

Try Dubai.

Beaches, intetesting town, lot of swinging couples and lot of private parties and its not so far.

---

Kids do not care so much about long flights. Our kids 5yo now have been in some 30 countries already from Caribian to Brunei or China or Iceland and they do not care flights if its one per day. They just hate two flights per day.

-----

So that South Africa is goid idea.

Or Caribean. You can try St.Marteen. Our photos are from there.And there are swingers clubs and many swingers. And there are few nude beaches as well. Yes, there is not old town, but few smaller towns on island and within 30 minutes long flight (or boat ride) are another 3-4 other countries with different culture.

And St.Marteen is cheap.

---

If it will be to far, then you can try Bermudas. Beach, surfing, museums, but I am not sure about swinging there. On other hand its expensive there.

Thank you very much - St Maarten could be nice. We have started looking into Caribbean or Florida.

Regarding long flights and children; you could be right. They've been ok so far. But one of them is rather a live wire, and it may turn out bad.

Apologies for the late reply..

Yes I do have a vested interest haha, with regards to swinging clubs unfortunately there aren't any.. Surfing is very good and Kite surfing has picked up a lot! There's quite a few different watersports available, some really good Scuba spots too..

Yes please do let me know
