We have only been there once before and whilst we had a lovely holiday, it was before our enlightenment lol.

Just one anecdote here about Red Beach. It is not reachable in flip flops safely. The path to it is very rocky and steep. Wear good trainers or proper sandals. We had to abandon our visit as Mrs N was wearing hers and it just looked too risky

There are some gorgeous beaches near Keratacambos on the south of the Island. Go into the village and head out towards Tsourous. They will be on your left, Also if you get to tsourous the main beach there has hardly anyone on it and at the top end of the car park we were completely alone. The road to it is tarmac so not too bad but beware if you don't like more hair pin bends than the Monte Carlo Rally don't bother LOL.

Just booked a week to Crete from the 8th of July till the 16th would be free camping at some nudist beach with friends ! Who would be around those dates !
