Hi everyone.

We are thinking about taking our caravan down to cap for a 2 week break next year, does anyone know the best time to go for the weather.

anyone know the price for pitches for a caravan as the cap site isnt showing availability for 2012 yet.

Thanks

We'll be watching this thread as it's time we partied there.

Same as yourselves, we're waiting for the website to be updated.

We've heard such good feed back , it's now on our "must do" list...

We've always had good weather last week in June - first in July. Not madly crowded like August either.

Thanks for that, are the pitches big enough for an awning?

For sure, you'd have no trouble getting one of those double axle caravans in with awning and still have room to park your car.

We were there without booking this year and just managed to blag a pitch every night ( except one when we stayed on a friend's pitch as guests ), the worst night was when we had a "top of the range" pitch right by the toilet block by the seaside. Turned out the playground across from us was a teenager hangout, was noisy till very late, much better in the backwaters.

Take bicycles if you can, the campsite is huge.

We have just returned from Cap. Were there for the first 2 weeks in Sept and the weather was +35C in the shade every day. It was exceptional, but last year was hot too. We stay on Allee Mer (closest to beach) and have not heard the noise mentioned in a previous post. Pitches are huge, plenty of room for car, van and awning.

Pay the place a visit, we're sure you'll love it as we do.

"..... have not heard the noise mentioned in a previous post."

Quite possibly a one off, we were only there one night, and we'd probably crashed far too early due to too much sun.

We are planning going in Our motorhome in June from 12th , for 10 days. We have been told the best place to pitch up is at the top end by the Beach.. Is that right??

North Lancs.

Yes "Allee MER" nearest the beach are we feel the best location.

Not as shaded by trees and most have good hedge boarders.

Large enough pitches for our larger caravan.

We go late Aug, early Sept. Have always had good weather, and we find not over crowded.
