Lots of swinger clubs in the general area but hardly anything in the city itself.
Realistically you would need access to a car to get to them.
BDSM and fetish clubs are a bit thin on the ground though. |

Closest to the city would be Die Eule at Rattingen, close to the airport. Large club on two floors, two bars (one naturist) pool and lots of play areas. Couples only. www.dieeule.de
Caesars Palace is at Sprockhovel around half an hour drive. On three floors it is probably the biggest club in the area (if not Germany) Can be a bit posey and tends to attract a younger crowd. Only open on Saturdays. Mixed singles and couples. www.caesarspalace.de/
The Steinenhaus (Stonehouse) at Hattingen (also around half an hour drive) is our favourite club at the moment (we are there later tonight ) Again a very large club on three floors and probably the busiest overall (over 250 people there tonight) Bar and lounge areas, lots of playrooms and a small BDSM dungeon downstairs. Dream Heaven at Wulfrath is smaller than most but we have had a few good nights there in the past. Since we last went it has been completely refurbished. On the downside so have the prices. Mixed singles and couples.

There are other smaller clubs in the area and other clubs a bit further afield, but see how you get on with those.

That is brilliant ! Thank you for taking the time. We are only going for a few days and it will be a mon or tue possibly wed evening we will get there as we are with vanilla’s!
Do you know if any of these open then and if so, in your opinion which is best? The first one you mention sounds good.
Also, are the clubs in Germany friendly and social or is it straight into it? |

A couple of years ago I went with a couple to two clubs in Berlin, and have been to a club in Hamburg with a playmate. We found the people at all the clubs to be friendly. I have also visited Dusseldorf area a number of times and although it is a statement of the obvious but not many mature people speak English fluently. So for general mingling a lot depends on whether you are lucky enough to run into English speakers.
I really liked the German clubs, and also food and drink included. |

To be fair midweek can be a bit thin in all of them. Most clubs only get busy at the weekends.
Die Eule is only open on a Wednesday midweek and to give you an idea there are only 8 couples registered by now for next weeks event.
Stonehouse is open every day but some nights are for gay men so it's wise to check beforehand. Again I looked at Wednesday next week and for the "naked swinger party" there is, as yet, only one couple registered. Compare that with 104 single guys, 26 single women, and 66 couples so far for tonight's "Hot MILF party".
Dream Heaven only opens at weekends.
Farell Lounge opens midweek and because of its size (quite a bit smaller than the others) could possibly be your best bet.
In our experience (and we have a lot) German clubs are very friendly and social. However they do cater for the German market and English isn't widely spoken, so unless you have a bit of German the social side could be a bit difficult.
Best get straight into it methinks. |
