The main bit is just like WhatsApp, But you can hide your number from everyone and people can find you via a username instead. So no worries about crazy people getting your number. You can store contacts still. Assign pics, names, notes.. so it you’re like me and forget who People are, you still will bit you can check.
What people don’t realise is the secret chat function, it’s surprisingly hidden. It’s super secure and you can remove the chats and pics off the other persons phone.
Burn on read timer. 1min or less, they can’t save/forward. 1hr or more allows them to save/forward.
Tell you when they screenshot (although be aware iPhone users accidentally screenshot so easily). Grindr ultimate and Wickr are better here as if you screenshot there it save a default image and not the actual screen. I wish telegram did this.
None of the data is stored. Anywhere. Other than your devices, Which you control the content of both. FBI have asked telegram for details before and the answers have been a) we can’t see that info, b) we don’t save that data and c) fuck you *hit delete button* whoops. Sorry. Don’t have that data now.
Only criticisms I have is secret chat isn’t visible so a lot of people get the app, and don’t see the need of it over WhatsApp, the screenshot security could be done better and to reply to messages you swipe left.. instead for right like WhatsApp.. arghhh.
It yeah.. if you’re using KIK you might as well be posting in on this forum it is that insecure. WhatsApp, is now using all the data. Snapchat has its issue of pics and chats

Telegram is very good for movies and any series even if they are streamed online on Netflix, Amazon or any other service. I been watching The Boys seasons 1 and 2, and The Mandalorian on telegram. Very impressed with telegram.  |

We use this for chat and love it, it's far better than any other platform we've tried.
We're not in any groups though - I wasn't aware of them tbh, and I've no idea how you go about watching movies on it??

In telegram, in the search bar type in a movie or series or genre name and a whole list comes up from different streams or app users. You select the one you think is best and you can download whatever you want to watch. And yes you can use telegram for chats, groups etc just like WhatsApp. |
