Anyone going to the Whitby Goth weekender.
It's been announced that it will no longer be at the Pavilion although alternative venues have been sourced |

"We have booked for nxt year but not sure what to expect.
You’ll have a great time, I love it & I only take photos, of the events, this is my 1st yr staying overnight.

The night time scene at the Goth weekends has changed slightly over the last year or so .we have lost the resolution. ( no longer has live bands ). Its more or less now just a cocktail type place .last twice has been quiet there. the spa pavillion are stopping the live shows now .that leaves the abbey wharf,the Elsinore ,the angel and the metropole. The Goth weekends have changed a bit since I started going 12 years ago . there is more people watching going on .daytimes are fine but night times places to go are getting less and less .last year in the April one clashed with the school holidays .too many revellers spoilt the abbey wharf night . knocking people down who were dancing . all in all I do still like the weekend but it is changing esp.at night |

that's not what two sites say . they both say no live music will be on at the spa .they will be some music on at other events |

Gigs at Pavillion are being run by another promoter so not part of the official WGW. Headliners are Paradise Lost and Fields of Nephilim. |

The Nephs have quite a lot of gigs this year. |

Whitby seemed a lot quieter on Saturday night than it used to.I do miss the resolution .why oh why did they change to a cocktail type bar . the abbey wharf was heaving . had a good night there |
