Vegas is great... You cannot go wrong with any of the big casinos for rooms.. Plenty of naughty fun to be had no matter your sexuality..

We go to Vegas at least once a year (normally), booked this year for NYE etc.

It can be one of the wildest places ....

Where abouts are you stopping for New Year?

I did New Years a few years ago. Was soooo busy!

"Looking to book a trip but unsure where to stay and for how long, we are husband and wife."

We usually do 10 nights twice a year and still never run out of things to do! This year because we’ve missed so many trips we’ve booked 14 nights but we’ll see if it goes ahead. If not then we will aim for 3 trips next year

Anywhere on the strip pretty much would be fine to stay, just be sure to read reviews beforehand. If it’s within your budget I’d recommend Cosmopolitan with a terrace fountain view room or if you’re looking for cheap and cheerful then we really love Excalibur or for mid-range with a really good atmosphere I’d say Planet Hollywood. The only hotels on the strip that I’d avoid would be Circus Circus and Strat, mainly down to location.

We’ll be in the Hilton Suites at the Flamingo. We’ve done NYE there before, ended up watching the fireworks from the rooftop of a “Gentlemans Club” with the strippers. Then got taken in Hummer Limos to a private Afterparty for about 50 ppl in a Penthouse of the Trump Tower. Was one of the best experiences of our lifestyle adventures.

We’ve not been for a few years. Have plans to go though when it’s possible. Last time we stayed at the Wynn Encore, bed was so comfortable. Don’t think u can go wrong with any of the big hotels there though.

What’s the deal with entering the USA currently ? Are they allowing British tourists entry ?

I thought the USA weren’t allowing any British citizens though ? That’s my understanding of the current regulations anyway.

Las Vegas looks boring, a bit like the Mafia their boring too.

I wouldn't waste my money going there.

You arrive jet lagged, never get over that and arrive home nackered coz you've been up 22 hrs each day.

It's probably riddled with virus and gun maniacs.

Internet forums are notorious for misinformed opinions and biased conjecture, but this above post highlights it perfectly.....

Vegas “looks” boring? So you’ve never been? And you’re negatively commenting on a question or topic you have no experience of?

You criticise those of us who want to “waste our money” going??

As for jetlag, yes it’s tough, but with the correct management we get over it within 24-36 hours. Many people who think being up for 22 hours a day is a good night out, but seriously anyone doing that is more likely in Thailand at full moon parties not Vegas with some of the best hotels suites in the world.

“Probably Riddled with Virus and Gun Maniacs” The virus appears (im not a scientist) to like cold damp climates, Vegas currently is 94 Degrees.....in a desert!!. As for gun maniacs, name another city with similar numbers of CCTV and security? Yes, admittedly that the incident at Mandalay Bay was tragic, but that guy was a lunatic firing from the only place uncovered by cameras, his hotel room. Because of hotel security though they knew immediately where and who he was.

Vegas may not be everyone’s cup of tea, there are loads of places we see people booking holidays to but don’t waste our time worrying about them.

How about being open minded for once?

Jet lag isn’t a problem if you choose the right flight out and back.

BA from Heathrow leaves Uk 4pm and gets there about 8pm hotel and straight to bed 10pm. Leave there 10pm so full day in Vegas.

It used to be a killer with the likes of virgin and their 10am flight from Gatwick and 4pm back.

Vegas is not for everyone but I think it’s great 10times in the last 12 years means I like it lol.

"Will be in Vegas the first week of August. First trip abroad since all this craziness started "

Under a presidential decree introduced last March, non-US citizens who have been in the UK in the last 14 days cannot enter the country unless a specific exemption applies.

Right. I’m actually transiting airside through Heathrow on my way to Las Vegas. Apparently this is allowed with a British passport

If anyone wants some tips or advice, I’m an expat living in Vegas just off the Strip. It’s completely back to normal here and heaving with all of the US tourists. Come and enjoy!

I must say Vegas is a terrific place, very clean, tidy and safe.

I’m not usually one for going back to the same place twice but I certainly go back to Vegas. So much to see. I was there 3 days and didn’t scratch the surface.
