Are you seeing a partner who might reinfect you? Let them know you're having problems too |

Book a gp appointment
If it’s recurring you may need a different course of treatment - as may any partners.
Also worth seeing a doctor or pharmacist to differentiate if it’s jock itch or thrush - both cause similar symptoms but caused caused by different fungal infections

Not sure where you’re getting the symptoms. If it’s your mouth, do you use an inhaler? I’ve heard recently that a relative, newly diagnosed asthmatic at 55, had to change his inhaler as he kept getting really bad oral thrush. It’s a known side effect apparently.
If it’s your cock, I’d say a partner, soap reaction or diet. It’s often a sign of a low immune system too - are you run down? |

Pharmacy team here,
If you've had thrush more than 2x times in 6 months its recommended to get yourself to GP for Diabetic check. Some people are prone to chronic thrush. Definitely get yourself to the GP. They can run bloods and other tests to confirm. |

"Quite possibly the most pain I have ever been in when I had it, wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy!! "
I wish thrush was the worst pain I have ever had. All I can remember is it itching.
I have found coil fitting, LETZZ treatment, spinal bone marrow sample, colonoscopy, endoscopy with no sedation and childbirth all worse. |

Endoscopy with no sedation that's barbaric! |

I had it with a numbing throat spray but it doesn't last long enough and I started gagging it was pretty awful but not really painful |

Toothache and drilling teeth without pain relief is something, as is migraine and kocking the bed post twice with the same toe. |

As a diabetic I get it in winter when I'm not as active exercise wise.
Have it at present, gutted as people keep asking for meets and I have to knock them back. |

A took the gas and air pipe out of my mouth to talk, when having my colon inspected and yes the pain relief soon wore off, a couple of breaths later it was working again. OW! |
