Does anyone suffer from this? I recently had it and one of my testicles swelled up and the pain was excruciating. I had it before not as bad around 10 years ago and I wonder if this going to be a recurring thing or is there any treatments / prevention for this ? |

I've had it before you should go to a Dr and get antibiotics it can get worse quickly. They will also recommend getting STI check because it's the most common cause (not the cause in my case just to be clear! ) |

I had it when I was 16. Excruciatingly painful.
First round of antibiotics didn't clear it up properly so it kinda started going away, but came back with a vengeance.
Once it did clear up with a second, stronger round of antibiotics, I found over the years that any prolonged sessions, either alone or with a partner, would give me the same pain in my spermatic tubes, which radiates out into the testicles, groinal area, etc, and as I've gotten older (37 now) that pain just randomly comes and goes even without any activity, and I need to conscious of not physically straining the muscles down there, so I use Viagra sometimes which really helps a lot, by will eventually 'cause me to be a bit sore if I'm hard for too long.
What I have found, though, when I had a kidney stone a few years back, is a really good side effect of a medicine called tamsolosin (it's to help you pass kidney stones). That medicine helps everything inside relax and I found that after a few days it gets rid of all of those aches, so I just occasionally have to get a prescription for that.
Aside from that, whenever you're feeling the pain from epididymitis, take plenty of really hot baths in deep water, wear loose fitting clothes on your bottom half, and try to avoid anything that will increase blood flow to that area until the pain goes away.
Literally feeling your pain, Dude.
Take care |

I have had it a few times now, everytime the doctors say std, I am always quite smug when it comes back clear.
There are a number of things that can cause it, even given similar symptoms but without the infection.
One cause of similar symptoms was trauma to the balls and pipes. Yes, smashing your balls off someone's backside all weekend can lead to a week of discomfort. So I found out.
Antibiotics sometimes, but mainly strong anti inflammatory sorts me out. |
