Would you play with someone that is HIV positive, even with protection?

By (user no longer on site)  over a year ago

Yeah I would with protection, the protection I would use is,

1 a condom

2 10 rolls of cling film

3 a radiation protection suit

4 a space suit

5 a deep sea diving suit

6 10 more rolls of cling film

7 a tank (armoured like)

Do ya think I is being over protective?

another big problem would be there could be others that dont even tell you, you would not know, i agree why are they allowed in the club, i think everyone that enters should have to provide a test card every three months to provide information you have reg checks. that way everyone would know where the stand. oooo and its a no from me as well lol

A test card? We are not porn stars!! If you are genuinely that worried about HIV then don't swing. If you believe the story about the club then do not go there. A test card would mean nothing. If a passport can be faked I don't think your test card is going to be much use. Just use condoms and be careful

I think that they are highly unlikely to tell you, to be honest would you play if you knew?

As for cards far to complex to enforce and would probably end up in discrimination

"so the club knows about it but carrys on letting guys in ! be staying away from that club then."

who's to say it is a guy - could just as easily be a woman or even a couple.

even with tests your can only be sure you were clear on that particular day as different diseases have different incubation times

best thing is to play safe yourself and if in any doubt about a person don't play with them

Might be harsh but unfortunately its a fact of life!

If the 'guy' is irresponsible enough to play even if he suspects he has HIV then to be honest he isn't worth much in my opinion and protection wouldnt even come into it - I just wouldnt touch them with a very large barge pole - and that would also extend to people who I knew he had played with. Infact I think a while back some people were prosecuted because they had HIV and knowingly had unprotected sex and were taken to court over it. Wilful negligence or something.

If you know who this person is then if it was me I would let them know I know and also alert friends to the fact . However on the flip side I wouldn't want to be responsible for a witch hunt when there wasn't any other evidence other than talk.

Touchy subject and a whole new can or worms...

Very well put if I may say so, a synopsis of every average persons feelings on the subject in my belief. In England and Wales Several people have been arrested, and then commited for KNOWINGLY passing on the HIV virus, it differs in Scotland where you could be imprisoned for neglecting to inform a partner that you were HIV positive before having sex, regardless of the above as we are all aware protection sometimes fails, even the best condoms can break where does one stand then other than infected? For myself I am of the belief that the safest sex is no sex, a very negative view for a swinger however it still rings true. The rumour mill is as rife as ever throughout this site (sometimes one of the good points), and I should imagine that everyone knows the names of the person, or person's in question by now. I would like to believe that anyone that has had recent involvement with the person, or people that may have HIV are responsible enough to get themselves tested, and in turn inform anyone that they have encountered, after all petty diferences aside we are all human beings.

Just me rant ignore if ya like

we have never been to cams but this is worrying for the site and swinging generally. If the person is known then there is a duty for it to be made "public"....for heavens sake you would nt be shy in telling people of any other mortal danger..

Could be a rival club putting the rumour about?

HIV/Aids is the sole reason we abstain..but we still have people refering to us as 'boring'...

.

quote: The likelihood that HIV is transmitted from an HIV-positive person to an HIV-negative person depends on the type of contact involved. HIV is most easily transmitted by unprotected anal sex (that is, without condoms), unprotected vaginal sex, sharing injecting equipment, and from mother to baby. It also depends on the viral load of the person with HIV, and the dental health of the person performing oral sex.

Oral sex has been shown to be a less risky activity than these practices, but is definitely not risk free. It’s also worth remembering that other sexually transmitted infections, such as syphilis, herpes and gonorrhoea, can be quite easily transmitted through oral sex.

A number of studies have been published on the risks of HIV transmission from oral sex. One American study reported that of 122 gay men with HIV, 8% reported oral sex as their only risk activity. But this study doens't have much credibility. The numbers were very small. Plus some of the men in this study who initially said oral sex was their only risk activity later said they'd had unprotected anal sex.

How many people have unprotected oral sex? It is safe to say that although there are risks and they are limited there have been recent posts highlighting the transmission through oral sex. This concerns me greatly if the said person has infected just one person and that person does not know they have been infected they could pass it on therefore creating the possibility for an exponential growth in cases. The way some people get about on here. This could mean that there could be at least a 20 fold increase in just 1 week through oral sex alone

tis a very scary subject this!

While I appreciate the possibility of the existence of a witch hunt, I think if anyone does know who this person is, they should say something, at least to the people they know to be playing with 'him'. If it were me I'd surely want to know!!

In the meantime, I guess condoms will give some peace of mind, know they sometimes fail but at least that's rare.

Oooh this has got the willies up me, and not in a good way lol

We certain wouldnt condemn anyone for swinging...we are kinda jealous we dont have the nerve, but engaging in sex with someone and having to wear protection just in case they have a life threatening illness seems to take the fun out of it for us.

Femmidom and dental dams have been mentioned before, we know of a few people who insist on using these..so the have a scenario where you are licking a woman using one of these just in case she has something???...I cant see how that can be remotely horny.

But we are fully paid up members of the 'each to their own club'...it doesnt affect us..

Just play safe people.

O o O oo

Ok reading between the lines this subject and comments could be about someone on here.

If it is then this isn't the place to discuss it....if it is just contained to Chams then maybe it is best to make your feelings known to the club.
