Over the roundabout and then turn right. |
We were chatting yesterday to Nick, owner of Chameleons and Greenhouse. He told us that in the coming months Newport will be opening its doors on a Saturday to everyone. Males, females, couples, gay, straight or bi.
We think it will be along the same lines as Remix in Swindon.
Has anyone else heard anything about this? |

Well the club opens under these new rules from 7.30pm THIS SATURDAY until 2am for three Saturdays as a TRIAL only.
I have read so many threads and posts on here saying how slow the South Wales club scene is, so all those nagging sods can put their money where their mouth is and support this trial and get there on one of these Saturdays so that management keep it on as a regular event  . |

Sounds pretty cool! I work every Saturday, so Fridays are always a bit of a drag and knowing that I'm working the next day always overshadows the fun I could/should be having.
The only concern I would have, if it were to become a regular thing is it could have direct adverse affect on the socials, maybe?
But, yes, other than that, I'd be well up for this  |

However we don't think a 3 week trial is long enough as people have other commitments.
Maybe extending it to a 3 month trial would be a lot better  "
We agree, we sometimes have to plan as much as 2 months in advance for funtime, we,d love to support the Saturday opening idea, but might not be able to make any of these three Saturdays. |

We'd definitely make an effort on a Saturday because Friday's are difficult but have to agree 3 weeks isn't long enough to get an accurate idea of the demand , especially around the holiday season when lots will be away but we really hope this takes off |

the reason they struggled on the saturday was because they made it a couples night only on saturday |

Unknown to about the pricing. This new information has literally come from a short notice on the bar, and also I chatted with Carl in Darlaston Monday evening.
If there is a difference in the prices of a single gay guy and a straight one, how many will claim to be gay just to get in cheaper?   |

Spoke to Steve about this on Saturday at Chams Darlaston and it Green house prices as its the green house that's driving this not Chameleons

This is great news! We occasionally visit Cardiff for the weekend but can't make it on Fridays in time to get to the club. We're down that way in a few weeks so hopefully we'll make the trial period |

Saturday nights are better for us due to work on a Saturday morning and having a day off on Sunday. We will hopefully be going soon so will keep an eye out for any news on it as won't believe it till we read about people who's going on a Saturday |

Oh crickey, hope that's not the case. It's expensive enough for couples now. Prices need reviewing, we would enjoy weekly if it was alot cheaper instead of once a month |

That’s rather steap isn’t it, £32 for a couple! We wouldn’t be attending on that price. Seems very steap for a few hours out xx |

We can't know what the pricing will be until someone gets there Saturday.
I myself am thinking about being there 7.30pm on the dot to see about the prices and post them there and then do people can make up their minds. |

The info is incorrect, I've just rung the club to find out price for a couple, and they have told me it is NOT open to couples with heterosexual males on a Saturday.
The changes are...
Crossdressers are now allowed from 7.30 pm
Single bi fems allowed from 7.30 pm
Couples with bi male and bi fem allowed from 7.30 pm. |

Well we rang this morning and he said exactly the same to me, on the green rooms website they have got an event up for it now also saying new for Saturdays and that says the same only bi’s tv or cd... |

I have just got hold of Kez regarding this and this is what she has said so you all know.
IT IS OPEN TO EVERYONE STARTING FROM SATURDAY.
THAT'S....
GAYS
STRAIGHTS
BI
CROSS DRESSERS
TVS
AND SO ON....
SHE ISNT SURE ON A PRICE AS OF YET BUT IT COULD BE THE SAME PRICE AS A FRIDAY OR A BIT EXTRA....
IT IS ALSO GOING TO RUN FOR A FEW MONTHS TO SEE HOW IT TAKES OFF.
Hope this clears everything up for you all.
As it's on the club's wall in the bar and I've messaged kez it is probably very likely that the information on the web site is out of date...
As come on be honest how many if you have actually looked at the Greenhouse website before today???
And I will be going on the information Kez has provided considering she works the bar
