Despite the covid 19 pandemic we are still going to the social. If the venue closes then we will cancel. Until then all systems go. I will be in contact with venue up until the day of the social. If the situation changes I will post on here. See you all guys, just be sensible xxx |

Can you please remove me. Gutted I can’t attend, but due to underlying health conditions I’ in the high risk category.
I will look to attend an event with my friend once this virus has been & gone. I can’t afford to catch it. Take care all, hope you have a good event, but you’re all risking contamination in my opinion. |

So I take it your not going to any supermarkets then or even outdoors why say anything on a thread it’s up to each person so why can’t people that don’t want to go stfu, it’s up to the individual we hope you have a nice time and don’t venture outside your doors for your fags and booze any time soon

If, heavens forbid any one of us contract the virus who’s to say where it’s come from.
Was it contracted at....
The doctor’s surgery last week?
At work, uni or school?
A pub or club?
When you visited family?
At church last Sunday?
A concert you went too?
A holiday you’ve just come back from?
Visiting someone in a nursing home or hospital?
Or at the supermarket where the hordes of panic buyers descended in their masses?
My guess is the supermarket by hey I’m no expert.
Do we stop going there and starve? I think not.
If people actually listen to advice self isolating is only when you are symptomatic.
The press has a lot to answer for, they aren’t really reporting the 1000s of cases that have recovered. But then again only bad news sells and we are a nation of pessimists it seems.
Human beings aren’t programmed to be alone in isolation. It will lead to increased suicide rates and a raise in mental health problems which in itself will add to the pressures on the NHS.
Yes it’s an issue and believe me I will do whatever is necessary to protect the vulnerable not just my own family.
Just be sensible people and stop all this scaremongering.
