How do you meet a venue in person?? I'm not too sure either but a Hullsocial@Robbies is something I want to experience more of. It's just the right size for a gathering of like minded people and if you need alcohol to help loosen you up, there's plenty of choices available. It felt friendly (sometimes exceptionally so) and a great place to launch the evening. :-)

As a relative newcomer to these Socials only this year, I'd some hesitation about it being held in a pub. In reality, I needn't have worried. The pub is just on the edge of town, with great staff and a cosy atmosphere. There's plenty of seating (unlike other places), no music drowning out conversation (unlike others), and a great bunch of people who recognise you when you walk in the door! Plus it's true to its description, it IS for FAB members only! No strangers walking in. Give it a visit, you won't regret it!
