We're just starting off in this batshit crazy world of liberated and open sexuality, and we're still figuring ourselves and each other out. Our best nights together are fuelled by café Patron and a wanton disregard for anything that'll tell us the time; that approach has led to a fair few hangovers, but also a deeper connection and a better understanding of what we want from this aspect of our lives.

As you'd expect of a couple, we're pretty equal and so generically speaking we are: intelligent, socially switched on, laid back and fucking funny. Depending on the context. We regard those things as way more important than the physical side, but even so we have high standards and expect the same in potential partners.

You'd need to be:

- Intelligent: we're both grads and include an Oxbridge PhD

- Laid back and not in any way pushy: what is it about certain websites that seems to attract socially unaware, pushy people? It's almost as though that approach might not work in the real world...

- Engaging: her old job used to involve her making celebrities feel at ease. With few clothes on.

- Very fit and hot, and yes, that is subjective but please approach it objectively: she's absolutely one of the hottest girls you'd see on a night out and is a genuine gym bunny; he's a very good-looking guy who holds his own with her, has a six-pack and runs ultramarathons.

- Bi or open to explore: this is by no means a prerequisite for couples, but it's a fantasy of his to indulge and for her to watch (oh my God, it is). She'd be the arbiter of hot-or-not as he doesn't really fancy guys, but...you know...go figure.

Even after all that, we'd probably prefer couples. Isn't life a bitch.

Finally, we appreciate that a tergun approach of 50 emails a week saying 'hello' or 'cn u meet?' might yield one positive result a year, but that result won't be with us so please exclude us from your wonderful Argos approach to sex and connectivity.
