Well it has been an agonising three years dealing with breast cancer and lockdown. Mrs S’s reconstruction was delayed for 2 years, which was emotionally crushing, but finally it was done a few months ago. We were told they could never match the size of the other breast, but slowly using and expander we have got there and the scars are healing nicely. The next step is the nipple reconstruction and tattooing. Mrs S is finding her booted feet so to speak, but we are looking forward to regaining our confidence and stepping out again.
