Where are all the Scottish based Campers, Caravanners and Motorhomers?

Do you wild/free camp or use camp sites/caravan parks?

We mostly wild/free camp in our Van using apps like Park4night, Searchforsites, Brit Stops etc but we have been known to use camp sites also

We would love to chat with fellow Scottish campers with a view to possibly meeting up socially in the future x

i like how folks throw the "wild" word about when what they really mean is parking in a layby and sleeping in a van. free it might be but wild it is not . for the most part ill take the convenience of a site and its facilities but not adverse to a proper wild camp on the side of a hill miles from any tarmac

Not sure if there is such a group but it would be interesting if there was a local group of like minded campers .

Welsh proper! wild camper here.

I never use campsites as there's too many people there who are on holiday. This is a lifestyle for me and not a holiday. It's my way of life and I loves it! I'd rather be in a forest and have nature as my neighbour than people to be honest. Although nature can be noisier than people sometimes, but I'm in their home and I'm the guest so need to respect and expect it.

We’ve got a motorhome and would love to find a like minded couple at a quiet spot. Usually head up Glencoe / west coast area

We have a touring caravan though it hasn't had much use this year. Jim sometimes chucks a tent on his bike and heads out as well.

Tside, Rosetta or Crossburn sites?

We are heading to Tside this weekend with motorhome

Parkhead Glasgow

I would recommend Aberfoyle area, plenty of good wild camp spots, hidden laybys if you have a campervan or minimally service campsites. Would love to organize a fab camp meet up!

We didn't get away in our van as much as we would have liked this year for obvious reasons but fingers crossed 2021 allows us all a bit more freedom to travel and if so we have our heart set on a tour of France, Spain and maybe Portugal not forgetting of course our weekends away right here in Scotland
