You probably know the story.. Newbies, first visit in a club, nervous as fuck, not so comfortable with the dress down as soon as you enter the club.. Ect ect.. So any suggestions? Should we try Manchester or Liverpool? Any clubs recommended for first timers without dress down code? (We want to go on Saturday 2nd of July or Sunday the 3rd) thank you in advance!

No idea which is better but if the club of choice is a half decent one then they will welcome you with open arms...(legs later) if you choose to play that is.. There's normally no pressure at all to play so just enjoy your time wherever you decide to go

Yes but how about the dress down thing? Can't we enjoy a couple of drinks and flirt before the main dish?

You wear what you feel is right, there's no right or wrong things to wear and some do have bar facilities so you can treat it as a social then play if you choose to. You won't know if you don't go

So the question is: any clubs with bar that you can have a couple of drinks?

Give Townhouse a whirl, it's just over the Mersey for Liverpool and has a great social atmosphere, it's licenced and you'll find everyone very friendly

Amour in Manchester is brilliant, you arrive in full clothing and they have a dress down time so if you don't fancy it you can leave or stay clothed but I'm betting you would happily dress down by the time it comes round. We can't compare as its the only club we've been to but obviously would recommend

Sorry I've not replied sooner, but I've been busy at the club.

Townhouse is not an immediate dress down club and actually you can stay dressed all night in our ground floor social and dance areas. Dress down is only requested upstairs in our playrooms after 11pm.

We get new couples every week and on average a Saturday will attract 5-10 new couples each week, so you won't be the only new faces.

We are no cliquey at all and we have hosts floating around to ensure that everyone is settling in and included in the evening. Our members are very welcoming and go out of their way to chat to newbies.

You will be shown around on arrival and given the chance to ask any questions you may have.

If you feel more comfortable sitting in the bar for your first and subsequent visits until you find your feet, then that is entirely up to you. Some people take baby steps, others jump in feet first!! You can go at your own pace with no pressure at any time.

We have a cracking blog for new couples which will help clear any other worries or concerns that you may have; the link to our blog is on our profile as I can't put it here. The new couples blog is at the top of the screen once you have followed the link.

Feel free to PM me or call the club mobile number if you have any specific questions or just want a chat about the club to settle any concerns.

Not a lot I can add to this but just wanted to say that I was made to feel so welcome when I was a newbie all those years ago lol.

The place is really friendly and relaxed and I would definitely recommend it for any newbies.

Wherever you end up, really hope you have a wonderful time x

I always have a feeling these types of threads are adverts created by fans of their favorite clubs...eventually ending up with whose club is better.

Op. .have a look through the fab site..you will find a list of clubs through out the uk and beyond. You will find they list their events, policies, membership costs, rules on etiquette etc etc...

There are many clubs in and around Manchester

Townhouse

Partners

etc

It all depends on what you are looking for. Most have nice bar areas where you can sit around, natter and have a drink or 2 (Do not drink and drive!) ...

It all boils down to what you want

I know what you mean but I have never met the OP before!!! The ones to look out for are 'where going to ____ club on Saturday, who's coming'. Some are legit, others are planted!! Lol xx

Gatehouse in Bolton is nice and friendly and you don't have to dress down

Cupids provide clean fresh towels on arrival. You may use these to cover up until your comfortable - dress down is a great equaliser & reduces the potential of photographic devices & other items entering the club.

Whichever club you decide on we hope you have a fantastic 1st experience

Please don't be nervous about dressing down. We started at Cupids and are actually more put out when we go somewhere where people don't dress down straight away. I'm in boxers, she's in whatever sexy outfit she (and I ) like.

Suggest Cupids on a couple's night on a Wednesday. If you try Partners on a couple's night on Thursday you can stay dressed in the bar as long as you like, then you can stroll round the corridors and rooms dressed down. However the best thing about Partners (in our opinion) is the amazing area where most (usually all) of the people in the pool and Jacuzzi are naked. People usually undrspe their towels on entry into either quite cautiously at first, but without bothering once they get used to it.

No dress down straight away at amour. Or come to a free social. Build it up slowly. We get loads of newbies in xx

Town house is a great start. Nice to travel out too, we're in Manchester and prefer to go out of town.

We had our first night at the town house and enjoyed it. Don't be afraid of dress down it's fun. Just go tonight together at first and just enjoy the ambience. Nobody will bother you do don't worry. C&O

Hi we would recommend Townhouse, we are very new to the scene also we 1st tried TH on 14th Feb and been back twice since then. Haven't yet plucked up the courage to play, but there is no pressure at all to do so atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. We have dressed down and enjoyed ourselves viewing people enjoying themselves in the upstairs area. Give it a go guys ??

Thank you. Have a great night at Cupids tonight. It sounds interesting but we will more likely opt for Partners or the couple's and single ladies at Amour x
