I'm honest about my situation but still doesn't seem to be enough.

Good guys come last I guess.

I agree and they're are still some people out there who appreciate this but not many. I'm not rude but seem to attract time wasters/ no shows.

Perhaps give people the option of speaking on the phone to your wife, so she can give her blessing to any meets?

Maybe you need to change your selection process if this is a common occurrence?
