I keep threatening my kids with the clippers. My eldest is starting to look like the 5th Beatle at this stage.

My 19 year old cut everyone's hair a couple of weeks ago - including mine, it's not as though I have anyone to impress right now

I do a faded cut on mine, have experience though. My housemates are all walking around with chunks missing and looking like they've just arrived in prison.

I did offer to help.

I cut my hair myself for years now, it's a all time mess no matter who cuts it, so what's the point in going to the hairdresser?

I’m using the chance of not having to be in office and visit clients to grow as much as I can to get a ponytail..

Have done mine 4 or 5 times in the last few months.

Easy enough if you follow a few basic rules which you can find on u tube.

Power City selling clipper kits with the 8 depth settings for about 30 euro.

I genuinely don't understand why women's hair is so expensive to cut. Brush it to the back, get the scissors and cut a straight line across the bottom, done, that's 80 euro

It's because they CAN charge more and we women are ok with that, simple as that. Have a friend with shoulder long hair, he went to same hairdresser like myself, he paid half of what I paid for a trim. Another reason I don't go to the hairdresser anymore.

There hasn't been a uniformed approach to any of this across the whole crisis

I'm fucking loving that men can't get their hair cut. I went into tesco the other day and every man I met had a skin head. Deeeeelicious.

Shaving your own is definitely the way forward. So glad I did mine. It's hard to get a razor online now as everyone is buying them. No more trips to the barbers for me anymore.

In all seriousness...when do we think they will allow haircuts to take place? Im desperate for one..but would look ridiculous with a skin head

My hair is always awful so the hairdressers being closed makes no real difference to me. I would love to be brave enough to go buzz cut short, it’s a great look if you can pull it off.

Cut dirks hair twice now. Second time went for a braver fade and it worked just fine.

Cut and colour my own hair for over 15 years now so no change there at all...

Planning to take on a course to become a barber when this is all over as I do genuinely love hair and men

I had a surprise haircut after going recently to a masseuse who massaged my torn groin muscle( gardening accident) . I know I broke social distancing on two counts but she and I got away with no consequences. It is a great cut and I offered my dad the chance for a cut but he declined.

Trusting your partner as your barber is the real test of how strong your relationship is...

...much more than watching her get rattled by some stranger from the internet.

Been cutting my own hair since I was 17.. Simple enough I use a 0 on the back and sides and a 9mm on top.. Lasts about 3 weeks.. Works for me Ive gotten quite good at blending in at this stage.. I have a Welby hair clippers this past 10 years.. As good as the day it was bought. Squirt some wd40 on the blades before cutting keeps everything in order
