Seems another annoying update that serves no purpose whatsoever! At least with the headings you can see if someone is replying from a forum post etc |

I think it's stupid. Faster messaging? Bollocks.
It means that I can't easily find messages off the back of forum threads etc. There are so many other things Fab could do, no idea why they came up with this one. |

Me too, subjects where how I determined who to talk to, fab just got infinitely harder to use for so many people, especially event organisers, super glad I didn't renew my site supporter now |

I'm not a fan. The subject header can provide a good context or a good little snapshot for people to see. The effort put into the subject line, might be a good indicator of the effort put into the message. Not a great change imo |

I rarely look at the friends page directly but those pics are too large on a mobile now!"
Gone are the days of discreetly perving in public. Sad times.
I do understand why they've done it - the main demographic of users are middle aged and above and it saves them finding their reading glasses. |

Tbh, the inbox cuts out a lot of the subject line so often id get messages where someone will ask me something in the header and not in the message and I have no idea what it is they’re trying to say to me |

This is my feedback from the other thread, verbatim:

I think it was ill-advised removing that part of the 'feature', unfortunately.
You cannot compare the changes with ·instant· messaging apps such as WhatsApp.
The subject gave context and an intuitive way to scroll through your messages. If unimaginative people are titling their messages with "Hi" then it was a quick way to disregard those messages.
Also, it doesn't help those from the forums who are replying to group challenges or games etc, because there isn't a quick and discernable way to distinguish the solicited messages amongst the unsolicited ones.
Finally, for me, the subject also gave a failsafe method to mitigate accidental sending: a few times I've written a message and accidentally pressed send. Thankfully it didn't go through because I hadn't (yet) filled in the subject. It's not like we have a "preview" feature before sending a message.
On the whole Fab serves its purpose, for me. But when you focus on the 'low hanging fruit' which makes very little difference to the functionality, then the more important stuff gets overlooked. |

I agree. Out of all the things this website is missing and has been suggested in the past that would be or could be making this website a more positive and user friendly thing to use… we got this. |

Yes, seems very strange to do away with subject, especially given the functionality to reply from a forum post.
Why would someone think that makes sense?  |

Don't like, liked it being obvious if the message was in response to a forum post. The reply from a forum post should be in bold or something to make it stand out. Plus I now can't tell which post it was either grr |
