message, meet or status update?

Hi all,
I'm slowly getting an idea of how the site works, mainly thanks to the forums, but don't think I'll ever figure people out!
So thought I'd ask for a little insight.
Are you most likely to respond to a meet posted in the meet section, a message or a status update? |

A mixture for me.
Initially I just met people who had messaged. Then I started going in the Midlands chat room and ended up meeting some people from there.
I have met people from a social too.
More recently I have posted some meets and one did lead to a great encounter 
And even more recently I met someone I 'met' in the forums.
Maybe the answer is to try all sorts? |

Messaging. Most of it is luck if you send a message at the right time you maybe have a chance |

A good message or a funny status update will be more likely to get a response from me!  |

I'd figured all 3 must get results as all 3 are used.
I'd prefer quality over quantity and thought it could quite easily come across as looking to shag my way through the entire site? |

I can see that it would be, just wasn't that sure it was a regular occurrence - I'm yet to receive one |

"I would say a message, I've never done the meet today but when I asked if anyone wanted to meet for coffee on my status I got tons of messages"
From what I gather this is a different experience for men asking to meet women? |
