This is a site where many times I know that we look after each other advise each other, help and back each other other up.
I just wanted to say a massive thank you for Fireblade as he has provided so much advice to me in the last week over my boiler breaking down.
He really has helped me and I'm sure saved me an absolute fortune in call outs.
The part that hopefully will have my boiler working again should be here tomorrow as it was dispatched yesterday, and I just want to say publicly a massive thank you to Fireblade for his help.
Has anybody off this site helped you just out of their own goodwill?

It's nice to recognise a job well done and your appreciation.
There have been times in the past when a couple of Forumers have been really nice and helpful to me so I know where you're coming from.
In my case I'm hoping that they know how grateful and appreciative I am that they helped me and that a private 'thank you' was suffice.
So I won't name publically but have no problems with those that wish to do so  |

Yes there have been some forumites who've been helpful in private messages and it's been greatly appreciated.
I'm reluctant to mention them so I'll leave it at that.

Specific reasons? Clem Fandango helped me fix my sink - and also happens to be a general all round good egg. In terms of (for want of a better term) emotional support there are a few other additional good eggs hanging around the fora. |

The absolutely legendary Merryteaser for finding me a Mrs Tiggy Winkle 50p in 5 minutes flat and effectively saving me from a severe ticking off from my daughter for giving hers to the newsagent in error. Seriously. Shit almost got real there  |

The forum folk have helped recently with my bleedin' radiators, which led to boiler help. A few years ago car battery help was provided (which saved me a small fortune).
There's a long list of people who put up with my ramblings and I thank them all. Recently, the kindness of those people has been outstanding. No judgement of me being on here at this time, and it has helped.
