Could try the Citizan in Glasgow, know someone that stayed there it looks lovely and I'm sure they said there was no receptionist, you just use ur email to log-in and get a key.

Citizen M? Stayed there last year and thought it was bloody awful - the designer rooms look cool but are cramped and impractical, the gadgetry is all half knackered and dated, and the staff were very unfriendly. Much prefer the SAS Radisson, traditional, luxurious and has a good gym downstairs too.

Had fun in the Park once and it had a massive bathroom which meant for a lot of fun.

Queens in Perth is nice , Wellington in Aberdeen practical as is the Britannia , a bit out of town but you can get a good deal at the weekend on late rooms . Often at Crieff Hydro for work get together s , now that is being spoilt, just don't have a lot of friends down that way as yet
