"We will be at Cjs, can't wait xxx"

Cjs sounded good and was an option for me but it would have cost a small fortune in taxis to go plus i want to be as fresh as a daisy when i am with my family.

Just a walk down to my local village bar, its staying open, and nice to bring in the bells with everyone you know

then a nice walk home without need of taxi

That sounds like a hood way to spend the Bells. Notbn to a street party in many years.

We will be at cjs for the bells. First time ever away from kids but my adult son 22 is having my 2 youngest 14 and 6 stay over at his and my oldest daughter 24, her partner and her kids going to, so all the kids and grandkids will be together, I feel I'm breaking our tradition a bit but fact all kids will be together for bells makes me feel a bit better.

Its my 43rd birthday tomorrow so hubby has treated me to a night celebrating at cjs since I love masquerade parties and I like cjs atmosphere and love to socialise and I have never been out for my bday as its always been about the kids this time of year . So really looking forward to it.

It is going to be costing us a wee fortune too, already has with new dress, new outfit for hubby, new masks, drinks, 50 quid entry to cjs, train to Glasgow from Motherwell, drinks at pre drinks meet then taxi to cjs then back home which will prob be double the price for a 21 mile journey after the bells.

so aye a wee fortune it will be

Ideas so you’ll know for next time; book in early, stay over and then just get regular taxi home or local service train home? If you have a railcard, it’s usually cheaper for your tickets if you buy in advance? There’s also a bus stop near cjs so that might be cheaper option than cab, or share with other fabbers who are at the pre drinks?

We’re bringing car and staying over so I drive back the next day.

The drink side of things, just make 1/2 large ones stretch out rather than do rounds.

I know you’ll have a great birthday and Cj atmosphere is brilliant fun, so it’ll be worth it
