Morning,

Just wondering have any of you used this option specifically on FAB ?

I'm seeing a lot of new and unverified users ( even a picture verification )

I use it all the time, sometimes Tineye but I find that less reliable.

It's a reverse image search so you can see if the images exists elsewhere on the Internet . Usually used to catch Catfish

Don't forget that a picture on here may be used elsewhere on the Internet. Doesn't mean it's been lifted. People use other sites too.

"no option on mine, wonder if its just certain browsers"
Go to google, top right it says images. You can then drag and drop an image onto the search box

I do this for every person I meet, the amount of times I've caught people out is amusing

Yes, but when it images off a porn star or a stock image site, its a give away

I told a vanilla friend about this when she mentioned she'd been chatting to a too good to be true guy she met through match dot com.. and he turned out to be a scammer.. no surprise there!

The Garden of Eden in Beautiful North Wales

I can understand the advantages of image searching but in my case a lot of my pix may come back as false (even though they are genuine)... Let me explain, the majority of my meeting's are group meets. We all take pix of the evening's events and when playtime is over and we're chatting over a cuppa and sharing the pix we've all taken, no doubt you mat come across one or two pix that don't have my ip address or whatever it is that informs you of such (I can't seem to make it work myself, I'm probably just a bit thick!) because although it's a pic of me/us but not necessarily taken on my fone/device but I can assure you that they are all genuine and above board....

I guess the only way anyone will ever find out for sure, would be to meet me and take some pix!

That's not a hint, just the truth.

I use it for new single girl profile where the photo up looks fake. One this morning the picture itself came up on several twatter accounts. Reported and blocked. Doubt anything will be done about it but it's been noticed.

That's not how it works. Both search methods mention highlight where the images are present elsewhere on the web, absolutely nothing to do with IP addresses or devices.

Of course it's not foolproof, but if you search for an image and it returns say, 1000 results from porn sites, or belongs to an American instagram model, or (in one instance I found) is actually a book cover, you can be fairly sure it's not a photo of the person with the fab profile.

Hi, if you use Google chrome , go to google web store , search reverse image extensions free and loads to pick..we use TinEye, Yandex, Google Images, and two more i forget the names. then you right click on the photo and a drop down bar will appear.

you will find that not all pick up photos found on the web. and many people use facebook photos . silly them..

enjoy Connie x

Thanks for explaining that Ruby, I really didn't know. I can see the advantage I understand.

You have to apply common sense. But when it's cropped from a pic of a well known model, actor or other celebrity or appears as multiple instagram, linked in and twitter avatars it's pretty clear that it's a lifted image.

Yeah exactly this might be used elsewhere but majority are taken from gay porn sites.. ive even spoke to one guy that the cock was different looking in every pic.. called him out on it and i got blocked
