We were wondering if there has been an influx of government agents taking over fab lately?????
In the past few days we've had 4 couples and a single woman say that they won't have face photos on fab due to their jobs.
We are discreet and in public sector jobs but we're definitely not into meeting people when we have no idea what they look like |

Us too! Makes us giggle when the photos they do have on public display have recognisable tattoos, hair colour or barely obscured faces! |

Someone pm'd me a few weeks ago saying he couldn't have face pics because of his job. I politely mentioned that I'm one of 1100 people in the UK who do my job, but I still have face pics in private.
He decided I was too indiscreet and he wouldn't want to meet someone like me anyway and blocked me!! |

There is usually a very good reason why people won't send pics, they are fecking minging |

Yes the tattoo pictures always make me giggle...its not like they are unique to the person you see them on |

1.8 million yahoo users have had their webcam images looked at by GCHQ in the last 6 months according to a news report today, you have to be just as wary away from site if you value your internet privacy highly |

Isn't it odd that people who insist that they will only respond to emails from profiles with face pictures often don't have their face pic on their profile.

It's perfectly acceptable not to have face pictures on display to all and sundry. We don't. We have them in our private photos though and will happily send them to folk we like the look of! |

I agree that having them on public display isn't fur everyone, it's the people who make all types of excuses not to show them that I can't understand, and to use your job as an excuse is laughable |

I don't expect a face pic straight away, and am wary of others that do... It can't hurt to swap at least a few messages first.
But I do want to see at least a basic body photo, just to give me an idea of how I react to them - and I'm happy to offer the same...
But I have got a bit of a problem understanding the comment "I can't put a body photo on here because of my job..." - I mean, what sort of job do they do that needs such secrecy, but where they can be recognised from just a body photo..????
I've been an executive, but I've never been in a job where fellow workers know my body that well..!!!

Our only excuse not to share ours would be that we have no intention of meeting someone. Most people we have conversations with we will send a face pic to. We would rather be rejected on here then have someone turn up for a meet and have a "aaaaarrrgh they're hideous!" moment ... And visa versa |

Ours are private and will happily send them in a message if we message first, the really annoying ones are people who message you first asking if you have any face pics but don't send one of them |

We've also had this, and we know most of us rely on discretion for whatever reason. Having said this I didn't do blind dates at school I'm not about to start now |

this was reported in the uk as a gchq operation, but was reported in the us as a joint gchq/nsa operation. many people want to be discrete. I do. I don't have a facepic on my profile but I have one I can reply with in a message after I have received one from someone. |

"if anyone comes across 007 on here let me
know ,cos im first in line .... "
At one point I was security cleared by GCHQ (it's lapsed now, only lasts a year) and had confirmation sent to me in a letter marked "on her Majesty's service".
Is that close enough?
I can do a passable Scottish accent if that helps... |
