Wales is getting tighter restrictions from this Friday. Pubs heavily curtailed, closing early and no alcohol inside

Must close at 6pm, from Friday. Pubs, cafes, restaurants then unable to serve alcohol.

Not much point opening at all. People wouldn’t go to a Library if they were stopped from reading a book.

On a mooch

It is like a lockdown but with shops still open, no meeting up indoors; all pubs, restaurants and cafes closing at 18.00, can do takeaway food after this time but not alcohol and it looks like all indoor entertainment / social venues closing too.

Why can’t the restaurants, pubs, cafe serve takeaway alcohol and help their business survive, all people will do is go to the supermarket and buy it instead or us that also going to follow the 18.00 rule?

How long have Wales been out of their last lockdown ?

Came out of our lockdown on the 9th of November.

Don’t know what these new rules are going to do apart from be the final nail on the coffin for a lot of businesses in the hospitality trade.

No alcohol to be served at all in any pubs from Friday. Have to close at 6pm as well. Through December is when a lot of local businesses in this trade make their money. Lots of people having their works Xmas do which is usually a meal and drinks, that can’t go ahead.

My town holds the Elvis festival, people come from all over the world. A lot of the local pubs, restaurants, shops in the town lost one of their biggest earners when that was cancelled. Also we have a huge caravan holiday park which again nobody has been able to stay there so lost money there. Had to close over Halloween and bonfire night so lost money there. Now leading up to Xmas where people would make money from Xmas dinners and work doo’s, closing at 6 and not being able to serve alcohol is just another blow.
