We have a pandemic

we have a shortage of nurses

we have a shortage of doctors

Both are being asked to volunteer and come out of retirement.

Why is Dr Hilary Jones sitting in a television studio every day. He is a semi retired GP with as far as I am aware no specialist field of knowledge. I am sure his medical knowledge could be put to better use.

Dr. Sara Marshall is the same, sitting on radio or tv,

why not get on the front line?

or is TV and Radio the safer option ?

How do you know they’re not though? Perhaps after their TV/radio time they head to a hospital or surgery.

Because it's a free country and if people were compelled to do it then

A) they would deserve sympathy, not praise as they have no choice.

B) A lot of people were screwed over by the NHS at some point so may harbour rightful resentment.

C) family risk issues.

D) it's not North Korea.

Why aren't you on the front line working as a NHS volunteer op rather than slating others on a swingers site ?

We need as many global pandemic logistics experts as we can get while you're at it.

Central

Haven't you opened a duplicate post in the Virus section op?

It's unlikely that is their only work.

Sarah Jarvis (who I assume you mean) works frontline as a GP as well as her media work.

I think the docs on TV have an important role to play here in disseminating accurate and relevant information about covid-19 and they’re generally doing it very well.

Don't you just love people who are keen to volunteer others for the frontline but keep a safe distance themselves.

But we only have a 'free country's because conscripted forces personnel fought for that freedom in two world wars which they too had no choice in joining

Op a two second search will show that Jones is still in practice..

Will let you do your own research into the other GP whose behaviour you've questioned..
