Anyone using this new gore tex laminate clothing. Is it worth the extra cost, is it actually lighter and more comfortable than 3 piece clothing.

My halvarrsons have nearly had it and need replacing soon.

I use a revitt suit which was cheaper but very good . Laminated is the way to go. The wet stays on the outside and drys a lot quicker.

Dainese two piece gore tex, had it a couple of years and it's been only okay.

I'll probably go for Held next time as their quality looks excellent.

Thanks, seems the laminate is the way to go. I'll check the Held range as I have their boots and they lasted well.

Worth checking out Dane clothing too - I bought the old style Gortex liner textiles at the bike show a few years back and they have been brilliant whilst commuting all year in all Weather.

Wish I'd had the cash to get the laminated version however as the rain doesn't even get below the outer layer of fabric, so thd jacket dries much faster..

I went with Knox's layered system and been really happy with it. Again the outer layer is waterproof and drys quickly. But you can wear bits for just walking around and stuff as well.
