Done it loads of times on many different bikes I've had over the years.
A bit harder 2 up on my 1800 intruder, its over half a ton 2 up but still easy if you time and plan each hairpin before entering. You do get the occasional driver who drives into the hairpins without considering anyone else, that can be frustrating.
An absolute hoot on a lightweight supermoto. Once done a Keswick to Keswick lap right round and back in 1 hour 10 minutes in my crazy years. Wouldn't consider doing it these days. |

Done the Hardnott and Wrynose quite a few times on an assortment of bikes in both directions.
First time on an MZ TS125 with my L Plates flapping in the breeze. First long trip too from S.Wales to Egremont |

"So who has ridden hardknott pass?
I did it with the wife on the back by accident. We only wanted to go and visit the Roman fort.
Two up on an oldskool GSXR1100 was fun......not."
Myself and a newly passed older female rider also accidentally done it looking for the same Roman fort lol was great fun but had to keep in her ear saying whatever you do don’t stop unless I tell you too |

near you check GPS location |
I don't want to sound my own trumpet too much,,, but over the years I've ridden most of the passes that people mention. But all of the ones south of the border have traffic that gets in the way, a lot are restricted to 50 mph (why it's an open road). Not been on many rural Scottish roads that disappoint, passes or otherwise. |
