Hi All,
So my husband bought me a H2SX as a wedding gift, as I wasn't expecting it, I hadn't done my usual, deep dive research marathon to find out all the things about the bike, quirks, tyre choices etc etc etc.
So if anyone here rides one, or has, can you give me your best tips, accessories to buy, tyres you run etc.
I am really NOT a fan of the bridgestones it has on it, they have 0 grip when cold cornering and especially in this weather its not confidence inspiring!
I would love to be able to enjoy it and begin to feel comfortable especially on the slower speed stuff, I have done just over 1000 miles, had first service, all run in beautifully and I feel like im still finding my feet with the vastly different handling from my old sprint ST 1050!
I hope to do a proper individual suspension set-up sometime soon and also get the headlight aim aligned for my somewhat heftier than average body!
I have read that the throttle can be smoothed out a bit with a light tune too which I think will help with the slower speed riding but would love to hear if anyone has done that?
thanks in advance! |

Take a look at the Michelin Road 5, they now have road 6 but I've not used them so can't comment. I never did like Michelin but when I was IAM Observer a few years ago I was persuaded to try them. Wow what a tyre, the best I have ever had on a bike |

Had a 2018 h2sx se performance,
Fantastic bike I had Michelin pilot road 5 on mine from new, as I like Michelin tyres
I had side boxes on mine for touring,
I Did have a few recall n issues with it at 4000 miles only,
Main one was my bike caused a recall of all H2 sx,
They found play in the rear wheel and axle shaft, But Kawasaki rectified it,
The fix I think was modified parts from there on axle shaft n bearings
But absolutely love the bike and I probably will have another |

Thanks for the tips everyone!
I will look to replace with road 5 or 6's before the spring, based on your advice, they were my first port of call, I will probably get a second set of wheels later in the year to put some sticky ones on for better days and when I'm more comfortable.

"I have a zh2, the road 6 are a brilliant tyre. They also do a more reinforced sidewall version.
Also a re map makes them lots of fun "
Does it smooth out the throttle response low down? that's my main thing.. as well as the fun bits lol |

I'd give them a good run before buying spare wheels as I found them sticky enough for road riding, unless you are going for track days, that's a different story |

I went exactly the same way I owned an st150 for 7 years for sick of the aching wrists ext loves the bike but it hurt still have the superbike bar conversion kit and lines ext in garage went for the sxse plus gr8 piece of kit chalc and cheese panniers and top box just added an end can and sent it over to Jordan's for a remap 235 rwhp but 3 separate preset maps so keep the rain road and sport , and the rider mode too although the maps are changed and smoother in the rain and rider modes it's still keeps a lower top power with sport and rider giving .max bhp tires out for 6s that's all runs like a dream handles like omg soooooo mutch better hope you properly thanked him lol
