Hi Guys and Girls, first year on my own, bikes are not going to be used till the weather improves (a lot lol) what do I need to do to them?
I do have a air pod thing for one, just need to work out how to use it
Thanks Marie |

Do you have an Optimate? If the bike is going to be sitting for long periods, then either take the battery out and connect it. If you have a garage with power, connect it and leave it charging.
Give bike a good clean and dry. |

"Have a couple of battery conditioner things, all have been cleaned, one will be going into the air pod thing. Yes they are all garaged "
Sounds like you are more sorted than most, cant imagine the airpod thing is that difficult to work out just find a safe place to put it! |

As another person said, you sound super well prepared from the get go so fair play for that. Some argue that occasional starting is good..but so long as fuel is out and its got half decent oil in they should be absolutely golden.
Some people swear by covering them in ACF50, but if they are in a temperature controlled pod then that should cover and damp off. I'd say your ahead of the game. |

As already said, seems you have everything sorted! I either drain fuel out, or fill the tank to the brim and add a bit of redex/fuel stabiliser to keep it fresh.
If left for any period of time, a half full tank and todays crap fuel can lead to condensation which may cause corrosion in the tank/pumps etc. |

"The plan is only the guzzi will be in the pod, both harleys will be on paddock stands and batteries disconnected, going to change the oils. The garage is heated so they will be spoilt lol "
Blimey, any more room in there for mine??? |

Humidity is the killer, so dry and no humidity storage. Battery off and on an optimiser (unless you have an imobiliser, then keep battery on and an optimiser). Wheels off ground to stop flat spots. I prefer to brim with fuel and add an additive ran through rather than empty (unless completely empty, the remnance will still gunk up a little but over 1 winter it should be fine). Then a good service when you bring them back from the winter hibernation. |

"All sorted now, tanks empty, run till no fuel, all on optimisers and paddock stands, garage nice and dry and heatr on timer
Marie"
Sounds like a really good setup to be fair. I think my triumph will be used on and off over the winter but I have a few jobs I want to do to it as well so I’ll take it off the road for a couple of weeks when the gritters start appearing. |

"Best thing for a bike in Winter is to keep riding. If not but Don't use an Oxford Solar trickle charger they are crap . Ride safe if your out on the roads still "
I am definitely a fair weather rider |
