Hello fab bike lovers. Following mumtiple crashes on track, nackered knees from rugby i feel my sports bike days are over. I dont want to bea GS wanker.....

I was looking at the RE continental GT650 as i like the cafe racer style then saw the BSA Goldstar. What's your thoughts ?

Then to make matters worse i like the new RE clasic 650 but I don't want to look like a scenester knob end.

Thoughts ?

Cheers James.

As a GS "wanker" not sure what to think of this.

Thought we were all meant to be bikers...

Hi OP, lots of shaming going on towards your fellow bikers; are the only decent bikers, the ones that ride the same bikes you?

Always had it ( not the shaming though )

Get the classic British bikers having a pop at the race bikers, who have a pop at the Harley-Davidson guys who have a pop at the classic Italian brigade.

As long as you are having fun on two wheels, doesn`t matter if you are on a 50cc moped or a 200mph+ missile.

Had an RE interceptor for just over 3 years n we love it.

Never had any problems with it.

Not the fastest bike in the world but we have had plenty of days out on it.

I'm a "classic British biker" (two AJS, Matchless, Scott) but I certainly don't slag off anyone else's bike choices.

I really need to get something a bit more modern as a 65 year old 650 twin isn't that suitable for everyday use but find it hard to decide what to choose.

Both the BSA and Enfields look promising. I've ridden both Himalayan models but not the twin. My last "modern" bike was a 40 year old BMW K100 but it got too heavy. Not sure what to get next but I'd be interested to know more about the Enfield twin or Triumph twins. I think the T100 is the smaller one but the number of models Triumph produce is too confusing lol
