I had a Pan European ST1300 for years. Great tourer. Travelled all over Europe two up, Me, Mrs F and camping gear. Best bike I've ever had, would still have it today if a car didn't write it off

V-Strom 1000s are brilliant tourers, mega comfy and plenty quick enough too. Or how about a Goldwing? You can get a lot of bike for under £10k

Great bikes but all depends on the dealer for maintenance/warranty work etc.

Swapped mine in for a V-strom 1000

I've been on a BMW K1200s for a bit now and had access to an 02 Yamaha FJR.....it's a phenomenal bike for touring. Heavy but powerful and comfy.

Well worth a look.

Southampton/isle of wight/ everywhere

If you wanted to stay with BMW and wanted something new, the R 1200 RT (police bike) is definitely the one to go for. Alternatively, if you are looking for something older, the Honda ST1300 pan European is unbeatable. Ridden both over 1000s of miles and both will go on forever if properly looked after.
