Just wondering if anyone has had a shot on the new Honda hornet with the E-clutch? Due to a dodgy left shoulder I'm gonna have to get rid of my gsxr650 and was thinking the E-clutch Honda might not be as much of a struggle. So if anyone has a ride on one or owns one any advice would be appreciated |

I’m looking at test riding one of the 750 hornets.
As I understand it the e-clutch still has a clutch lever, which will override the e-clutch system so you can ride it as a normal geared bike, or you can let the e-clutch do it for you.
The DCT system on some other bikes, so as the VFR doesn’t have a clutch lever at all, and is ridden in either semi or fully automatic modes |

Been to the big Honda dealer at Blackpool today, the new Hornet E-Clutch model isn’t available yet. But they did have some of the CB650R versions in, so you might be able to get a test ride on one of those to try it out.
I ended up test riding and agreeing to buy a 74 plate 750 Hornet (with an up and down quick shifter) though so alls good for me |

Well I’m loving the Hornet it’s a cracking bike and engine.
I was talking to someone last night with a CBR650 E-Clutch. And he loves it, he says it makes the gear changes so much smoother, but likes the fact you can also just ignore it and ride as you normally would, especially at lower speeds etc
When the E-Clutch Hornets do come out, I might see about taking the Demo bike out to compare |

Currently in process of getting rid of the honda cb1000r 2023 which had quick shifter on lovely bike fast and great fun for a XL750 Transalp which has the eclutch none in shops until may but looking to move onto the tourers route now after moving through Hondas 125, 250, 650, 1000 with a KTM duke 350 and a mt07 thrown in over the years . Time to play with the XL750 Transalp see what it's like to go off road with no issues

I looked at getting a CB1000R but I decided I didn’t really need that much power for the riding I do nowadays. Then when I tried the Hornet, I knew that was more like what I actually wanted. Decent amount of power, but really nimble and handles great |
