So what do you prefer to cover up in, Leather or Fabric?

And for your head is your helmet Open or Full Face, even though we know that it feels really good to go without, but its illegal and dangerous.

Both. Winter riding is sometimes in full fabric gore tex suit but generally a leather jacket and Kevlar trousers. Layer up underneath to keep warm.

Always open faced helmit, can't stand full faced ones. A mixture of leather and textiles, and not forgetting the good old newspaper in winter.

Leather jacket, jeans, boots and open facer lid. Love the freedom of it. Know it's a risk. But..... riding motorcycles is inherently dangerous and to be honest, that is part of the thrill. Can't ever see myself as a power ranger on a sports bike. Question.... why do some folk wear knee sliders when they have no chance of getting their knee down?

UK: summer - fabric jacket without liner + base layer + kevlar jeans, short boots

Winter - Fabric jacket and bottoms with liner + base layer, long boots.

India/Nepal: In town/city T-shirt and kevlar jeans, touring fabric jacket and kevlar jeans, short boots.

Off-road abroad - slip on shoulder elbow/forearm + knee/shin protectors.

I have a few bikes and am an all year rounder rider. Have heavily modded Enfield in India the past 8 yrs as part of my work I do out there.

Over the roundabout and then turn right.

Fabric for me. I can choose full or open face with my helmet. It flips all the way back and clips into either position.

I prefer leather but sometimes when it's ridiculously hot, whatever has the best ventilation. Full face too. The look and feel are one thing but safety is my friend. And my family's.

Near Leamington Spa

I typically ride in kevlar leggings and textile jacket, and a full face Nolan lid. (I believe mine is the only one of its design in the UK at the moment)

My old leather I bought off eBay ten years ago and cheap waterproofs over jeans all year round!

I just got a nice new helmet though, with a flip up front

Ride in far east mostly. Used to ride in shorts, jeans & trainers on hired superbikes. Was on tour in India, Royal Enfield 500, full textiles, boots & gloves, 40 degree heat, crashed on a mountain, not a scratch. Crashed again in Indian city, T-boned 2 young Indian guys on their 125 plastic sports bike, it exploded into 1000 bits, had a fight with the 2 Indians, dislocated my knuckle punching the buggers. Thank f**k for the reinforced gloves. Wear Knox mesh armoured vest now. And the best helmet ever....HJC with pilot visor, a God send. Would NEVER ride bareback again.
