Wow so that forum post filled up quickly anyhoooo I’m thinking  yup it does happen lol
So who’s all free for a run out Friday if it’s nice ? Forecast for tomorrow is shit and my ass well my whole body is feeling rather tender atm |

Just back from weekend away
Left Saturday morning headed up to Ballater the. the Snow Road to Granton-on-Spey then Aviemore. Camped overnight before shooting cross country to Aberdeen and down the Angus Coastal Route to Dundee then home.
I’m knackered, bike is bogging and will need cleaned.
Wednesday I’m taking a run in to see the IT folks on a new job I’m doing then weather depending I may take a wee run out in the afternoon
Will keep an eye out on this thread |

In fact, I'm going to get my bike into the garage to get this warning light checked. Hopefully I can get it there tomorrow and have it back in a week or so. It's a bummer cos Tuesday and wednesday looks like sunshine.  |

I have heard good reviews about bluetooth coms as I was looking into them years ago for long distance trips with my ex wife me on bike and her in the car with kids.
It really depends on what make you go for as some are longer range than others plus depending on where you are if there cheap you might not get a signal in the middle of no where ie valley's and things like that |

Just awake, going to get ready and meet the bf and go to silverburn on bikes for grub he’s back in early tonight so just a quick run out although if it’s nice later I might stay out when he goes to bed |

I think beach stuff then maybe do ferry and head to machrihanish Or down port Patrick way as loads of wee beaches all the way down from ayr. But Obans beach is easy with loads of shops n food nearby.

My other passion is scuba and have done various courses showing people the effects of cold water.
Places like Loch Lomond which are fresh water are bloody freezing all year round whereas salt water lochs like Long and Fyne the temperature rarely drops more than a degree regardless of season
Once you get below a metre you can be toast
Try holding your breath in a swimming pool, most of us can do close to a minute or more
Go into a loch and submerge and try hiking your breath, I defy anyone to beat 10 secs the cold will get you |

I went out today for a blast, amazing weather for it! Hope it stays like this for you lot at knockhill, especially the campers!
My bike was overheating a bit today so think tomorrow will be a coolant change and top up and see if I can find the fan relay and thermostat to check, since it didn't come on. |

Went round towards Balloch, was going to take the road over to Lennoxtown but I think there must have been an accident near arden roundabout so just turned back rather than wait. Still, just over 100 miles, and it was nice to stop at Tarbet and enjoy the sun for a bit before reality hit and my son phoned needing picked up! Then finished my day with an oil change on the car and into the pub to meet some friends I've not seen for a while, and my Mrs was working therefore sober so a lift home too. A perfect day really! |

I've driven the road through Balloch, right at the end, a wee section of single-track road then over towards Lennoxtown and the Campsie fells, wanted to try is on the bike, and see if there was a good route to make a loop out of it (I just prefer circuits to out-and-back rides!) but with the traffic and my fan not working I decided to turn back!
Spent today trying to figure out what is wrong with no luck as yet, and I left the ignition on by accident last night too so battery is currently on the charger. Hopefully get a mate to figure it out tomorrow and get back out for a group ride soon! |

To yourself or to the bike?! I think I've worked out its my fan motor that's gone, so waiting for a new one to come from Germany since the only ones I could find in the UK were pretty tatty 2nd hand. Still think the bike is OK to ride as long as its not too hot and I avoid slow traffic though! |

I’m an engineer ! Got to try and do a modification first it’s in my blood, this is what I teach my students to do, create repairs and engineer fixes for problems |
