Anybody got any ideas for Winter campsites once lockdown ends (hopefully December). We have motorhome and are self sufficient and based north west England. I know a lot of sites close but would be interested in meeting others wild camping etc or sites. not done any winter weekends away yet

I will keep my eye on this thread if you don't mind ... wife and I just bought our first caravan and looking to make new friends.

Long term goal is too drive through France and Spain into Portugal whilst still fit and well enough..

Lockdowns permitting

Check a site called Pitch up as you can put in the area you are looking for and dates and it will come up with places.

Also for wild camping try park4nite we did an 18 day stint in the outer Hebrides and Scotland in August and used that for places to stay over night in our motorhome

Nice site open in the lakes over winter called Coniston park coppice about a mile walk into Coniston but its great site
