Strange request

Hemel Hempstead

Hello fabbers,

My request is would anyone host me say at a camp site or perhaps beachside as I'd love to go to Studland or somewhere similar but have no camping gear just myself and my bike and the desire to get away for a day or two.

I know it's a long shot but that's what a community is for right?

Anyway thanks for reading this far and look forward to any responses

I didn't have anything either a few weeks ago

Bought myself a 12 quid tent from halfords and a 9 quid sleeping bag.

Self reliant now for a minimal cost.

If you're on a bike. Buy a bivvy bag, sleeping mat and sleeping bag.

Where is good to get a tent and all that? Not looking to spend much as it would be for the odd night out at a campsite probably

Did you look into the Halfords suggestion ?

Halfords seems rubbish, nothing reasonable from what I see.

Whilst not super cheap the Alpkit Hunka XL tends to be the prefered bivvy bag amongst the wild campers I know. Generally the Alpkit gear is pretty good

I was looking at Millets and their eurohike stuff. Better prices than everywhere I've looked

Only have my bike licence otherwise I'd live in a camper van

I'll probably just leave it until next year, unfortunately have other things taking priority over a night or two holiday lol

Go to a army surply shop an ask for a bouncing bomb (sleeping bag). Gortex government and a poncho. Be sorted in all weather's.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the replies. Was really hoping to use this good weather but maybe more will come around soon. Would love to wake up near Studland beach or a relaxed naturist camp, dying to be naked and free lol

Out of curiosity anyone name a few campsites that are bike friendly? I only have the Suzuki SV650S so ideally less off road kind of thing

Old bog road

Army surplus shops have loads of great quality, bivvies, sleeping bags, mats, at value prices . Get a pop up tent, cheap everywhere.

Managed to accumulate a tent and sleeping bag so will be looking to go for a night or 2 in the next couple of weeks maybe. I'd like to go near Studland beach but that'll be weather dependent probably so I might some see some of you about
