Anyone know of any group chats for camper owners ? Not just for shagging but van life in general |

If u urself run it then u can add only the ones u want in as u will get people over seas ask.u also can reject fake profiles and arogant people that dont mix well.you then have a group run smoothly with lovely people. |

We were considering setting up a Whattsapp group last year but struggled with how it would work because we are pretty certain that a lot of sites would frown at our ‘preferences’. I actually had an idea of arranging a campsite. Letting everybody know where it was and asking everybody to wear a tiny, discrete item, such as a tiny enamel PIN badge. The pin badge would be entirely innocent and nothing to do with swinging. Everyone’s pin badge would be in the same position (maybe left lapel etc) but totally different. That way, we wouldn’t stick out as swingers (with matching badges) and would blend in with ‘normal’ campers. A good example of this is BALA Lake in Wales. There are a few sites dotted around BALA but the village is very small and really only has 3-4 proper pubs. This way, those that wanted to meet others for ‘fun’ would (at some point) possibly bump into other people in the pubs who enjoy swinging. If you don’t want to swing, simply remove your badge. My idea was that everyone in the group would have to show a certain number of verifications from previous meets (to enter the WhatsApp chat). Whilst this verification system is not 100% perfect in ing out timewasters or newspaper reporters (Yes, the Sun was at Swingfest, Butlins and a couple of other swingers gigs last summer) it helps a bit. We are planning a busy year of camping this year so are still considering setting up such a group. If we did set one up there would obviously be some rules so that the odd idiot doesn’t spoil it for others. There would be no real group hierarchy, but the group admin would have the ability to boot those who upset others. It’s just an idea at the moment and I’d love to hear your feedback to this post, even if it’s negative feedback. If I ever did set up a group it would be on Whattsapp. Everybody would be free to comment. Everybody would be free to join as long as we were sure they were who they said they were. There’d be no rules that you had to show faces etc but you would have to verify somehow through fab that your WhatsApp number was linked to your profile. Those who were sceptical about revealing their own number would be welcome to use another (second/temp) number as long as it would correlate with your fab profile.

Yep sounds good! We plan to use the motorhome at every opportunity in 2025 so would be great to meet up with like minded people on our travels  |

We just finished our van conversion a couple of months ago, already been out and about in it. Started the conversion In June and finished it early September |

3 months is good going for a conversion. Hope it’s got a diesel better for the autumn season - VanLife at this time of year is a little more challenging but highly rewarding when you wake to a bring, crisp winter morn. |

Yes it has a diesel night heater in. I did a conversion a few years ago so I knew what I was doing. Last one took a while as I had no clue what I was doing but it did include everything a van needed, as it was built to sell. This one is for us, very minimal, built for warmth and practicality |
