Hi.. are there any groups setup for people from the East Midlands who socialise before the camping event kicks in.
Just thinking it would be kind of nice to know people before pitching the tent!
Ive tried carryonswinging but its a dead site that took my money..
Maybe I set something up myself and invite fellow campers who have tents, caravans and motor homes. (Not as a campsite) but a social site! |

I'm looking at setting up a forum type site, where people can chat, socialise and arrange a meeting.. I need to work the inticate details, because setting a domain and a forum is the easy part.. its the verifying (age reasons) and other legalities (Naming sites and being asked to remove the comment by the site owners etc) that I need to think about.
Then there is the running of it too.. which I can probably manage an hour of moderation and admin each evening, and possibly someone who "could" potentially help during the day.
i've got some ideas of how i would like it to look, with a Swingers / Sexy section out of the way of the main site - after all, it might encourage other non swingers to look and get interested in feedback, socialising etc.
i would probably set it up with the first 25 members free for a year - pointless offering a site to take money, when there is noone on it..
and the fee... it wouldn't be a fortune - maybe the equiv to a cup of coffee per month.
Anyway... food for thought...
but as it's a new idea for me (websites aren't new to me though) I'm reasonably open to polite suggestions. |

So basically you would like to set up a rival site to Fabs, advertise it on Fabs, and then charge the people on your site to join ? A bit cheeky to do that would you not say ?
Surely a thread in the camping forum dedicated to the camping swingers in the area you outlined would do the job ? |

Why is it a rival site to Fab?!!!!
It's a chat site for people who are "into" Camping.. It will have two sections.. Adults Only (non lifestyle 18+) and Lifestyle (21+) for the swinging community.
Anything other than Camping would be directed to Fab.
All I'm doing... is (as an IT Specialist) exploring possibilities and giving campers the chance to discuss and arrange face to cae meetings, maybe as groups . Without feeling they have to strip off and screw each other right away.
Let's be frank.... even though you wpuld be welcome, you wouldn't be f0rced to join a site that discusses after dark camping which would have location specific forums for the UK...
Besides, Fab wouldn't give the first 25 or 50 members access for free fir the first 2 years or would it?
I appreciate your comment, after all, its why I posted on here.. not to shame or slag fab off.. but to show it was looking at a much more "niche" topic.

I think I may have not been clear about my intentions.
There are sites out there, but I amongst other have been bitten by it. No admin. You pay and dont get your account activated...
Im at the stage where I can add quite a bit to it, and one of the things im adding is different regions for members and different regions for recommended site or discussion.
Fab campers?? Does that exist?
Also.. I think (after chatting to a few people outside of the lifestyle, that a social networking site for NON swingers would be useful too. |

And being asked.. why do you want to charge for it?? Let's be honest.. its not free for a domain name.. and hosting.. and again, its not using Wix as a base for a site either.. |

So.. after playing and spending around 75hrs of time on the site..
I decided to build it.. for UK people and let them have it for free for the first 12months or so.
That way.. a friendly place is available to start from scratch. Allows anonymity without giving real names or numbers..
So.. to start with, ideally I need some friendly people to look, test and offer genuine feedback the site has all areas of the UK configured... but lets see.. |
