Death of flash

So with Adobe withdrawing support for Flash at the years end and their own recommendation to uninstall it, what is the site going to do to replace the aging but still highly enjoyable desktop client?
Mobile chat is so inferior (sound anyone?)things are aging and creaking at an alarming rate and then there is the software, lol. No offence anyone. |

I was also wondering what will happen to the chatroom at the end of December 2020 when Adobe not only withdraws support for flash, but is actively seeking to disable it.
One of the features that makes the fab chatrooms so popular is the use of cams while you chat. Would be lovely to keep that functionality somehow. |

Needs to be sorted and admins need to assure members chat rooms will continue in some form. With the site actively discouraging meets and the potential loss of the chat rooms, i can see a lot of ppl leaving. |

I am on naturist sites that have gone away from flash and the cams are better, a lot clearer, use less bandwidth so not so jerky, smooth action. Pretty sure it will be good, roll on the new year.
Using chrome on my new Mac! And safari on my old 9 yr old one, both ok for chat cams on fabswingers! |

Microsoft has released the KB4577586 update to remove Adobe Flash from Windows 10 and prevents it from being installed again.

Moderators have been saying for months that the site owners have been preparing for the death of flash.
Nothing has been publicly tested or trialed, so I'm starting to doubt that they have a replacement in the pipeline.
Having said that, I haven't seen any new functionality on the site since we joined. Maybe they're just letting the site die a death. Who knows.

There has been lots added to the site over the years.
Your profile says you have been here for 7 months.
The site has been running for 14 odd years.
Admin are currently working on a replacement. We just have to be patient and wait for that to be rolled out. |

They have been testing new cam software this week... if you have any issues viewing any cams I.e white screen, there has been advice from some of the chat mods to come out of chat, refresh and reload. I have no doubt that the owners of fab have this in hand. |
