How to enable PMs in chat?

Hey all, people don't seem to be able to PM me in chat where they used to before. I've checked settings etc but can't seem to find a solution. any ideas? thanks in advance.

Have you looked at message filters on your account page, on there are various blocks etc that can be adjusted to suit.

Also depends if you are using mobile or desktop. There's no PMs on mobile.
