I went to Eureka Thursday afternoon. Beautiful weather for some time beside the pool. Enjoyed some banter and laughs with two couples there, Graham and Lisa were really fun and Fran and her partner too. The body shop moisturiser took some washing off. All together a lovely afternoon. They have a socially distancing one-way system for ordering food and drinks, quite right, and the pool is seperated into a dippers and a swimmers half. The pool was refreshing as it was cooler than it usually is. The bottom field now has a couples only section at long last so that couples can enjoy each other's company outdoors without being made to feel uncomfortable by unwanted attention. Of course if attention is what floats their boat they can always use the upper section of the field. Such a positive move.
The staff are still all the same friendly faces as before and we all have to make sure that we go as much as possible to support the club and make sure it keeps going during these challenging times. |
