Hi everyone.

We were big fans of La Chambre, so we're keen to know if there is anything new from the club.

Whe know that the club had not renewed their lease and were looking at new premises, but I've not heard anything since then.

According to friends on the kink scene, the owners decided to retire last year, and the building is likely to be demolished. I’m sorry, it sounded like a lovely club.

The last update that we had was from the "New owners". The building was leased, and there were not renewing the lease but looking for new premises.

It was a lovely club, hopefully it will be revived in a new building.

If it’s going to be new owners operating from a new premises then it’s not really going to be anything related to the previous club u remember surely ? It’s just a new club

The new owners were staff at the club for many years, and running the place for the last few (iirc)

Only been once but the sheer number of single guys spoiled it as it was too hard to meet couples with so many others there. The lack of dress code put me off when they started letting groups of guys in trainers etc who clearly were not swingers and just chancers after free sex.

That was what we were trying to find out... the last info was that the club would be resurrected in a new building after lockdown.

The owners retired. The old building is closed down. Like someone has said it will probably be turned into flats or demolished. Such a shame!

Someone wants to open a new club in Sheffield and call it by the same name. We can live in hope. (But as people have already stated - it will be completely different).

From what we were told the original owners retired and their daughter and her partner were managing the place for them until that point. The area is also up for council redevelopment so extending the lease on the current building would just have been throwing money away for them as would most likely have a compulsory purchase order placed by the council so sinking money into it would not have made sense. The managers decided to keep the name and look for new premises that would be more secure and rebuild with more modern features and make it into the club it deserves to be. The original blood of the club is still there and we really hope they do come back bigger and better. Although we didn't have a great couple of experiences there (was very quiet) the manageress was fantastic and really welcoming. Having the threat of the council taking the club removed will free them up to put their heart and soul into it and if that's the case it will be an amazing place to go. We wish them all the luck in the world. They deserve it

My first club night was there and I had a great night. Must have gone a couple of dozen times over a few years - every time was amazing fun!

It is a shame and leaves a hole to be filled.
