We're off to Club Utopia this Saturday for the first time. Anyone else going, say hi.
If you haven't heard of it here's a few details. It's this Saturday 22nd and it's just outside Plymouth (Ivybridge)

"We are hosting our first event in Ivybridge would be great if we can make the first party full house. The night of the party you will need to provide a negative lateral flow test. Prices list £40 couple £20 single female £30 single male (select and invite only) Drinks £3 alcoholic (£4 double and wine)"

The people running it are really nice and if it's the same bunch of people go who went to their Yelverton parties they're really nice people too, so should be a good night of naughty fun. Important to support local parties we think. X |

Been to parties where singles guys are free.
Maybe private parties but it would get out of hand at venue parties in they were to do so."
I dont mind , as a single guy, paying the same as a single lady. But double is too much.
Venue parties usually have a guest list to keep the balance between guys, ladies and couples correct.
Have been unlucky enough to get to a venue and been told that x number of couples have noshowed therefore we can't let you in to keep the balance of guests right.
Its not easy to keep everyone happy thats for sure |

It’s very unfortunate we had to increase the price, but as you can imagine the outlay of running such an event is costly and the first party we barely covered our costs. This isn’t a venue we own unfortunately it is rented on a party by party basis. Finding someone to agree for us to hold the events was a struggle as you can imagine.
Single men costs in our experience almost always match that of a couple. Sorry if this offends people but there are not many events like ours that even allow single males, as unfortunately sometimes they are more hassle than it’s worth 
Feel free to message us if any of you have any suggestions on how we can improve our events or if you have any ideas for future events ie Bi nights, singles nights, LGBTQ etc xx

Well Mr F has been on here 7+ years (as both a single male previously and couple) probably been to almost every club that has been trading in those 6 years in the southwest, some further afield and in utopia's defence its pretty much the norm to charge a single male the same as a couple?
Can't see the comments are justified and he would be willing to part with 50 quid as it would be the going rate at the moment
We have attended a Utopia party the hosts definitely aren't new to running things like this and seemed to have put in some hard work to result in a well organised venture that was reasonably busy but more importantly very well "Ballanced" with a good/relaxed atmosphere that comes with it.
Let's hope they continue
Without meaning to sound rude what makes or breaks a organised party or club is gathering support from the couples and lady singletons for without this these places will be empty and not survive.
