Chams going downhill????

Great Barr

We went to Chams in Darlaston last night, been first time for a while. We expected it to be really busy as it was Bank Holiday Sunday, as in past it has always been heaving with sexy customers. But last night was nowhere near as busy as it used to be and very few younger couples or single males in there..... We fancy trying somewhere completely different in future, can anyone recommend where is best to go in the Midlands area, where it will offer plenty of choice of nice people to socialise with?! We are not knocking Chams, cos have always loved it in past, but last two or three visits have been disappointing ??

Suppose it just might be something to do with Sundays now ? Although I would have guessed at yesterday being quiet as was eater Sunday and a lot of people vist family etc

The last few visits we have made have either been Friday or Saturday nights and it's been as busy as ever

Will be honest and say have never been on a Sunday but have heard other people say that Sunday's have not been busy as of late

We have been to a few clubs in the midlands area the last few weeks and have to say they all were very very quiet

Give Xtasia in West Brom a try, great club and been getting lots of good reviews lately. They are also doing a Fab social there on Sunday May the 5th, Bank Holiday weekend, no membership needed that day and free entrance for Fab members who are on the guest list. Just add your name to the thread in the meets forum.

Worth giving a visit before then as well, Friday nights are open to all and Saturday nights couples and single females only.

i agree that it might be because of Easter Sunday beeing a fam.day.

Never been on a Sunday so can't compare.i think a lot of ppl have been put off by the bad weather of lately if travelling time is over 1 hour.

Than the rise in petrol+living costs may also has an impact on the numbers in Clubs.

I guess it depends what you call quiet. For example I've been to a couple of clubs recently where there were less than 5 couples in and others where there was less than 20 couples in and in both cases the clubs seemed quiet, and these were both on Friday nights.

Last Friday night I was in Xtasia and there was a good number, I actually don't know how many of couples, single guys and ladies in, though it would be nice if there had been more in.

I've never been to Chams yet, I agree with the comments of it being Easter Sunday where many people do family things, but I've heard from people that it regularly has upwards of 100 couples in there and that to me would say that it's busy assuming those reports were true.

As for picking nights to go to clubs, where you'd expect the place to be full, well Xtasia does have some party nights coming up, 2 on Sundays being the FAB party on 5th May, another party on 19th May and the fantastic Foam Party on Friday 31st May which should give you some options at events that will have lots of people there.

village between York and Hull

We were there yesterday and have to say although it was the quietest Bank Holiday Sunday we have seen some clubs would love that many people in their club,

As people have said it is Easter and half term so a lot of family's have gone away, a lot of people are fed up with the cold, some have partied Friday and Saturday too. Most previous bank holiday Sundays have been some kind of organised party or BBW night so that may also be part of the reason, have to agree there was a lack of younger single guys but we still had a great time and plenty of fun. Chams is still one of the best clubs in the country and we visit a lot of clubs and they are all struggling for numbers.... A sign of the times!!

we normally go to the sister club in Newport but for a special treat we travel to Darlaston and stay overnight in the rooms there. Never had a poor experience or quiet night. Will get back there one day but suspect the prob you experienced was as posted elsewhere i.e. family people not able to get out during school hols time. xx
