Im autistic, which means I often struggle to interpret the hidden meanings behind what neurotypical people say, and so I need someone to translate what happened at a club last night!
I was at Pandoras for bi night and there was a couple playing in the dungeon. I walked in and politely kept my distance, leaning against the wall.
Female: Hi
Me: Hey
Female: I take it anyone is allowed in here, then?
Me: Yes. Top floor is couples only but not here.
I immediately left the room because I interpreted her to mean that she was not happy with single people being allowed in the room. Was I correct? |

OP, same as the previous poster said, I would have asked if they were ok to be watched. They chose the open play area (though I guess dungeon equipment usually is in the open area) so they would have, in my opinion, taken into account people may come in and watch. Sometimes the answers to the "are you ok with me watching" question could be ambiguous, too. You may get "we're good"- does that mean you're ok with being watched or you prefer your own company at the moment? That's why, if I'm playing in the open, I make sure I am ok with being watched, but not looking for anyone to join. |
